@ocifant: I totally missed that gem on my first read, it was only when I read it out to my nephew that I saw it. If it were April 1st I'd say the story was made up!
It's actually a decent wheeze, if you're of the frame of mind to do such things. Kudos to the guy for thinking of it. An illicit use of Flashmobs, perhaps?
