At the rate my water company charge me, it's no wonder Starbucks charge so much for a drink when they're pouring it down the drain (the water that is)!

@danlane: The MIR crew should invite Jason Bradbury or Suzi Perry to do a podcast or come along to an Unlimited Drinks. Could test their true mobile geek skillz. :D

@gerrymoth: You still can't listen to Real Player in the background, can you? Kinda defeats the purpose of playing radio programmes. That's more a Nokia/Real problem than the BBC's though.

@swing: The Gadget Show is completely different kettle of fish to the MIR vodcast. You need to see TGS if you want to see how these things are being reviewed and promoted to regular folk.

To be honest Woolworths were almost as bad. Similar price discrepancy between online and offlline (but Woolies online is via Jersey so no VAT, but then 17.5% doesn't make an item twice as expensive!)

I overwrote mine with the update, d'oh! Altered the update to work, but it wouldn't stream. I'm giving up, there's nothing I want to watch anyway!

I'm not sure to be honest. Our banks aren't known for being speedy though. And I have a feeling my bank would say my issue is with my ISP and not them. Might be different if it were coming out of my credit card though.

@ocifant: I totally missed that gem on my first read, it was only when I read it out to my nephew that I saw it. If it were April 1st I'd say the story was made up!

@barneyc: I used to have to go monthly as I'm susceptible to illness. Always seemed silly as it was the one place I went to that put me at more risk! Never knowingly became ill as a result (I'll put that down to not reading the magazines!) ;-)
