I should say that occasionally it has connected for about 30mins-1hr but that's just 3 times in the past week! -
I haven't had that screen (I know the one you mean though) - I've probably got a contract SIM then. It'd be good to ring up and see what their tech dept says (could blog about the real user experience of tech support!) but as I'm not the owner/sub I won't get very far! -
Hmm, good question! It's a loaner from 3mobilebuzz so am not sure. I asked Sam from 3mobilebuzz if he had any ideas about my connection problems but he didn't get back to me. Wednesday, 7 May 2008

Good point about the USB Ben, I think it hasn't (or if it has it's for the "photo" side of things) but I'll check. -
My folks have upped the amount they're willing to spend but I'd like to keep them to £400 or below. It looks like i1394/iLink/Firewire port tends to be PCs £400+. TBH the vast majority of the time it's going to be used for little more than an Eee can handle (but they don't want an Eee - even if we could find one!) -
My folks have decided to get a laptop and they've got a DV camcorder. I was thinking some fairly cheap'n'cheerful laptop would have Firewire and cope ok with a bit of video editing (my mid-range PC's 5 years old and copes ok). (...) Wednesday, 30 April 2008
